At Home & Across The World.

At Center City our vision is to make disciples at home and across the world. Since our church began in 2010, we have had the privilege of sending out over thirty people into full-time, vocational missions work. Additionally, we have built relationships with four Charlotte-based non-profit organizations (listed below) that we holistically support. If you see something that you are interested in inquiring more about, email our Director of Operations, Dan Linsz:

Community Partners

UrbanPromise Charlotte

UrbanPromise reaches elementary-aged children through after school and summer programs, while raising high school leaders who are employed as mentors in these programs. The ultimate goal is to restore communities as new generations of young leaders affect social, economic, and spiritual revitalization in their neighborhoods and the city of Charlotte. Various levels of volunteer opportunities are available to support their incredible efforts. UrbanPromise is hosted at Center City Church each day from 2:30-6:30pm.

The Harvest Center

The Harvest Center exists to create a community where individuals effected by homelessness, poverty, or unemployment are empowered through transitional programs and transformed by the love and ministry of Jesus Christ. Volunteers are able to get involved in a variety of ways that support this powerful ministry, which include serving food, facilitating jobs training courses, teaching in the computer lab, helping at special events, and much more.

The Harvest Center is located directly downstairs from Center City Church at the Movement Center – a collaborative effort that renovated a 40,000 square foot warehouse on Freedom Drive.

Ashley Park PreK-8 School

Center City Church partners with the faculty, staff, administration, parents, and students at Ashley Park PreK-8 by providing opportunities for adults to apply to be reading buddies with students. Reading is the “North Star” in education (as coined by CMS Superintendent Ann Clark), and this is a wonderful opportunity to help strengthen literacy for kids in our community.

Missions Place CLT

Missions place is square one of local and overseas missions engagement, located directly underneath Center City Church on the first floor of the Movement Center. Training is offered on how to get involved in both local and overseas service opportunities. Also, there is an open, inviting space where global-minded people gather to chat about missions, attend special events, and simply find a place to relax and connect. Co-working space is available for a reasonable monthly donation, allowing remote workers an opportunity to work in a vibrant setting that continually has like-minded people in and out all day long. If you have a heart for local and overseas missions, this is the place to start.
